Is this supposed to be funny?
I first saw this in joanjoyce’s blog and i was, still am, insulted by it. I immediately signed the petition to seek justice against the insult. I am from the Philippines. I am a Filipina. I know how hard it is earning money here that’s why we’ve decided to try our hand in earning money online and hopefully get out from rags to riches in the cyberworld. But not all people are like us. Most Filipinos work abroad to augment their family income.
If you think this funny. Think about this. Imagine your mother, sister or even daughter working far away from your country to help provide for your family’s needs. Then suddenly you see her being portrayed as a sex symbol. What would you feel? You still think it’s funny?
I dropped by one of my favorite blogs macuha.com. I saw that his post about the issue which shows that the government and the media are doing something about it. Thank goodness. It kinda reminded me of the racist slur in Desperate housewives. I hope BBC makes an apology.
Who is this actress? Is she even a real Filipina? I don’t think so. Please sign the petition to bring justice for our Overseas Filipino Workers.

Bloody brilliant. Harry and Paul at their best. British humour, you can’t beat it.
Please don’t play the racist card, it’s simply a comedy sketch, nothing more, nothing less.
I won’t play the racist card if they don’t use the word Filipina there. It might be a comedy sketch but for people who don’t get the joke, they will see it as such. A filipina who is a sex symbol of sorts. I’m sorry.
