earning online from our blog This is our first blog about earning online. This is not the first site that tackles online earning and it will not be the last. Our main differences would just be 1) where we are blogging and 2) what we are blogging about.

You know all about number two. We’re blogging about our online journey in earning online with side blogging about offline endeavors. Now to tackle the first part. The where.

We are from the Philippines, a third world country with great people. Internet in the Philippines is not as widespread as compared to other countries. Starting an internet shop is a business venture that would surely gain a good income especially if near a school. Not all families have computers much less internet connection. Chances are if there’s an internet shop in the corner, people who would use them would just go online to check out their friendster and/or multiply accounts. That’s why online blogging and earning from it is still new in our blogosphere.

If you just earn around $7.25/day, do you think you can support yourself? Can you support a growing family with that amount of salary? Nah I didn’t think so. But here in the Philippines, that amount is our daily minimum wage.

My Aunt and I chatted a few days back. My cousin Karina is working part time and earns at least $400/month. If you convert that to Philippine peso given that $1.00 = P50.00 that amount is equivalent to P20,000.00. Shucks! That’s even more than what i earn in my own salary. Nevertheless my Aunt said that is just enough to cover the gasoline expenses and daily allowance.

Looking at it from the point of view of a person living in the third world country, blogging is a good venture for us since our earnings online could give us more than what we earn in our offline lives. The bad part of blogging is the fact that getting an internet connection here is still expensive. We pay approximately $20.00 for a connection of 384kbps. Dial up with 56kbps is the main internet connection we still have for most families living in urban and suburban cities. If there’s a bad part then there’s also a good part. So what is the good part of blogging? The good part of blogging is the fact that we can express ourselves online and if we earn from it then that’s the additional bonus.

We are blogging from the Philippines and penetrating the cyberworld. It can’t get any better than that.
